He was a nurse on the front lines during WW2. Grandpa was a three time cancer survivor. He saved his family home during the Great Depression. He was a man of courage and faith. Grandpa was the husband of my dear grandma Helen for over sixty years. He was the proud father of his only son Bernie. Grandpa, was the man who taught me how to laugh at myself, to praise God in all the storms, who taught me how to be a faithful friend.
