When Professor Bigelow's (Paul LeMat) wife abruptly leaves him to return to her hometown of Centerville, Illinois, he has no idea that following her there would pull him into a close encounter with something otherworldly...and quite possibly sinister. With the help of a ditzy tabloid reporter (Nancy Allen), Bigelow attempts to expose some real extraterrestrial shockers -- which of course no one believes -- until the kidnapping of his daughter for a ride into space forces the professor to teach these invaders a lesson in vigilantism!.
